Samuel K. Dunlap, Fine Artist. A collection of my paintings starting at age six. Some are paintings done for family and friends. Now that I am getting serious about my art, I am experimenting a lot more. If I have a specialty, it would be portraits, but I love to stay diversified. Landscapes and Still Lifes I am growing to love more and more. Actually, I love it all. I am interested in a personal and professional relationship with my audience, and I want to paint for you.

1975. I was working for Holder & Kennedy Public Relations Firm in Nashville. One of my good friends, Dana Thomas, a photographer for H&K showed me a picture he had taken of Maria Seigenthaler. I fell in love with the picture and had to paint it. It was a huge painting. Life size almost. As it turned out, I met Maria's father, Tom Seigenthaler. One of the greatest men I have known in my life. Not too long after I met him, he offered me a job as Creative Director for his Public Relations firm. He wanted to add an advertising arm to his company and he wanted me to head that up. I was 25 years old and was so honored. He was a blessing for me. It was an honor just to be in his presence.
